Herbert Wayne Johnson, 56, of Captain Cook and Newport Beach, Calif., died June 8 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Olympia, Wash., he was a salesman and marketer for Hilton Grand Vacations and Coldwell Banker Realtor, and was on the escort boat for the Polynesian voyaging canoe Makali’i. Services held. Shiro Kurokawa, 92, of Papaikou died June 26 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility.
